Check following tips improve your hazard perception skills: Keep Safe Distance: Between you and the vehicle in front.Stop Ahead sign: Prepare to stop ahead.Sharp Turn, Chevron, Hairpin Curve, Winding Road signs: Sharp curves ahead slow down now.Railroad crossing signs/signals: Don’t cross tracks if a train is approaching.Keep Right/Keep Left/Divided Highway Begins signs: Avoid the obstacle.Do Not Enter, Wrong Way, and One-Way signs: Don’t ignore them and end up traveling in the wrong direction.Work zone signs, Detour signs, Flagger signs, and work zones: Watch for workers, sudden changes of direction, merging lanes, etc.Pedestrians in the street: Watch for pedestrians (or animals) that may suddenly dart out into your path.Crosswalks: You must yield to pedestrians in crosswalks.Stop (or Yield) to Pedestrians: You must do so.Also, if it’s the vehicles on the cross or merging road that encounter the yield sign, you must watch for vehicles that ignore the yield sign and fail to yield to you. ![]() The hazard perception test will take approximately 15 to 30 minutes, you will need at least that amount of time connected to the internet. I'm ready to take the car hazard perception test. There will be 15 hazards to find - at least one on each clip. You will have access to the test for up to 12 months. You are required to watch these clips as if you were the driver. You must also be able to understand how different. You need to pay a fee before you can get access to the test. The theory test is made up of two parts the multiple-choice part and the hazard perception part, both of which are taken in the same sitting for car and motorcycle tests. A developing hazard can be anything from a pedestrian stepping out into the road, a child running between parked cars, or a car exiting a driveway. The Hazard perception test (for car and motorcycle drivers) consists of 14 video clips of typical road situations and features 15 developing hazards. Yield signs: If you encounter a yield sign, you must yield to approaching vehicles. To get your full driving licence you need to pass two tests, the theory test and the practical test. ![]()
